About the project: Synopsis: Four girls meet to prepare for The Gender Wars, an annual high school competition between the junior boys and girls. Determined to become only the 13th female champions and the first back-to-back winners, they begin a rigorous study plan. As the competition draws closer, their preparation becomes a journey of self-discovery, friendship, and resilience as they weather the unexpected storms of life. Everyone interested in participating in The Players' New Play Festival is encouraged to audition, regardless of age, experience, or previous training. The festival is presented as a reader's theatre.
