"Heaven Under Siege" - Faith-Inspired Pirate Adventure Musical
Go & Shepherd Productions / NextGen Creatives is casting experienced teens and adults for Heaven Under Siege, a faith-inspired children’s musical based on the book Heaven’s Adventures: The Case of the Stolen Treasure. This family-friendly pirate adventure follows Heaven, a fearless 6-year-old pastor’s kid, who is swept into a dream world where she must choose between treasure and saving her best friend. Seeking strong actors, singers, comedic performers, and movers for principal and featured pirate roles. Rehearsals will take place in the Phoenix area, with performances scheduled for September 25–26, 2026. Actors playing children must convincingly portray age 6, but actual child actors are not being requested.

She is adventurous, expressive, obsessed with video games, and sees every challenge as a grand mission. Must be able to play big emotions truthfully and bring strong stage presence, movement, and heart. Must sing.
Gender: Male Ethnicity: Hispanic Stage Age: 6 Actual Age Range: Teen / Young Adult / Adult who can convincingly portray a child Description: Carlos is Heaven’s loyal, adventurous, and slightly more cautious best friend. He is funny, expressive, and often the voice of reason, even when he gets pulled into Heaven’s chaos. Must be bilingual in English/Spanish and must sing.
Gender: Male Ethnicity: Any Stage Age: Youth / Young Adult Description: Greasy is lanky, sloppy, clumsy, confused, and funny. He speaks with a slow, sleepy drawl and is one half of a classic comedic pirate duo. Requires strong comic timing, physical humor, and singing.
Gender: Male Ethnicity: Any Stage Age: Youth / Young Adult Description: Pennylickin is small, twitchy, hungry, high-strung, and always trying to avoid work while somehow doing the most. He is the other half of a comedic pirate duo. Requires expressive physical comedy, quick energy, and singing.
Gender: Female Ethnicity: Any Stage Age: Youth / Adult Description: Scurvy Sue is sharp-eyed, sharp-tongued, and watches everything. She is the best sword fighter in the group and keeps the crew in line with a stern glare and strong movement. Requires strong dance/movement skills. Must sing.
Gender: Female Ethnicity: Any Stage Age: Young Teen/ Young Adult Description: Mad-Eye Millie is wild-eyed, eccentric, mysterious, and magical. She is a master of maps and riddles and feels like a bridge between the audience and the dream world. Requires strong character acting and unique vocal rhythm.
Gender: Male Ethnicity: Any Stage Age: Young Adult / Adult Description: Toothless Tim is a young pirate with an eye patch who is always munching on candy. He grins widely, laughs at the wrong moments, and brings humor and unpredictability to the crew. Must sing.
Gender: Male Ethnicity: Any Stage Age: Adult Description: Peg-Leg Pete is Meanbeard’s bold, scrappy right-hand man. He is rough around the edges, has a permanent scowl, and uses his wooden leg with exaggerated authority. Requires strong comedic presence, physicality, and singing.
