About the project: This girl-loves-ghoul rock ‘n’ roll Off Broadway musical is set in the atomic 1950s at Enrico Fermi High, where the law is laid down by a zany, tyrannical principal. Pretty senior Toffee has fallen for the class bad boy. Family pressure forces her to end the romance, and he charges off on his motorcycle to the nuclear waste dump. He returns glowing and determined to reclaim Toffee’s heart. He still wants to graduate, but most of all he wants to take Toffee to the prom. The principal orders him to drop dead while a scandal reporter seizes on him as the freak du jour. History comes to his rescue while a tuneful selection of original songs in the style of 50s hits keeps the action rocking across the stage. Additional info: SHOW DATES October 10, 16, 17, 23, 24 || 8:00 PM October 11, 18, 25 || 2:30 PM Performers will be called back the following Wednesday, July 8th, 6:30 PM as necessary. Please prepare up to a minute and a half (32 bars) of a contemporary musical theatre song, or a song in the style of one of the genres represented in the show: doo wop, sock hop, rockabilly, 1950s pop ballads, campy B-movie rock. Bring your own backing track, for which a Bluetooth speaker will be provided. Please do not sing songs from Zombie Prom for your preliminary audition. If you are interested please apply.

[range: C3-C5] || A “bad boy” in love with Toffee. After Toffee breaks up with him, he jumps into a nuclear reactor and is buried at sea. He then comes back from the dead as a zombie set out to return to school and win Toffee back.
[range: F3-E5] || She’s an aspiring scientist and Jonny’s girlfriend. After his death, she is riddled with guilt. When he comes back, she is torn between her love for Jonny and following Strict’s wisdom for her future.
[range: F3-A5] || Principal of Enrico Fermi High. Matured by a mysterious past, she is obsessed with discipline, tradition, and protecting the school from scandal — especially Jonny.
[range: C3-Ab4] || A sleazy investigative reporter for Exposé Magazine. Very determined and inquisitive, he takes a strong interest in Jonny’s death and subsequent revival.
Jonny and Toffee’s friends, seniors at Enrico Fermi High who contend with Jonny’s return, just trying to make it to prom. Actors double as various characters throughout the show.
