Singing performers invited to audition for “Mean Girls.” Additional details are listed below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Mean Girls, the brutally hilarious musical by book writer Tina Fey (30 Rock), lyricist Nell Benjamin (Legally Blonde), and composer Jeff Richmond (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), is gonna blow up our stage! This queen bee of a musical took Broadway by storm and joined the musical in-crowd. Meet The Plastics – Regina, Gretchen, and Karen. They rule North Shore High and will burn anyone who gets in their way. Home-schooled Cady Heron may think she knows a thing or two about survival of the fittest thanks to her zoologist parents, but high school is a whole new level of savage. When Cady devises a plan to end Regina's reign, she learns the hard way that you can't cross a queen bee without getting stung. Additional info: Invitation-only callbacks are scheduled for Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 6pm to 11pm If planning to attend in-person auditions, please bring a headshot and resume, and prepare two 16-32-bar cuts of a musical theater song in the style of the show that demonstrate your range and vocal ability. Songs from the show are acceptable. Please bring sheet music in your key. An accompanist will be provided. An instrumental track from a phone or other device is acceptable if the audio is edited, cued, and saved locally ON your device. A Bluetooth speaker will be provided. If attending in-person auditions, you do not need to complete this form. Rehearsals begin on or around Sunday, July 12, 2026 (Sun.-Thurs. eve.; daytime on Sat.). Performances are scheduled to commence on Saturday, August 22, 2026, and conclude on Sunday, September 20, 2026. Performances will be Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm.
