9 roles

Carrie WhiteFemale16-18 y.o.All ethnicities

Carrie is a painfully shy outsider who, in spite of her best efforts to belong, has been the victim of her classmates’ cruel jokes since childhood, as well as her mother’s strict, biblically-ordained control at home. She transforms from ugly duckling into graceful – then vengeful – swan. Vocally, a strong belt is required, as well as a lyrical sweetness. Additionally, strong acting skills are required.

Sue SnellFemale16-18 y.o.All ethnicities

Smart and popular, Sue has a crisis of conscience after participating in a cruel act of bullying. This show is taken from her point of view, being the only survivor. Strong acting and a sweet, yet strong voice required.

Tommy RossMale16-18 y.o.All ethnicities

Popular athlete, valedictorian and boyfriend to Sue, Tommy has a quirky, sensitive side. Vocally needs a good range(tenor/high baritone).

Chris HargensenFemale16-18 y.o.All ethnicities

Rich, spoiled rotten and wickedly funny. She believes the rules don’t apply to her, and has serious daddy and anger management issues. Pop rock style voice with good range and belt.

NormaFemale16-18 y.o.All ethnicities

Bitchy, gossipy and a shameless suck-up to authority. Norma is second in command to Chris, the queen bee.

FriedaFemale16-18 y.o.All ethnicities

Sue’s brainy pal. Easy going, get along follower and a tireless extracurricular committee volunteer.

HelenFemale16-18 y.o.All ethnicities

Giggly and easily shocked, her immaturity and need to belong make her the perfect example of the herd mentality.

GeorgeMale16-18 y.o.All ethnicities

Tommy’s jock wingman since childhood. George idolizes him…perhaps a little too much.

StokesMale16-18 y.o.All ethnicities

A bit of a nerd, he’s happy to be included as one of Tommy’s posse.
