Seeking Teens for "The Addams Family" Musical
Seeking performers ages 12 and up for "The Addams Family" Musical. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: THE ADDAMS FAMILY, a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family, features an original story and a dilemma that’s every father’s nightmare: Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family—a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before-keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents. Additional info: Please prepare 16-32 bars of music to sing (no more than 2 minutes). An accompanist will be provided. You may also bring a karaoke track with NO voices. Alto vocals. Vocal Range: A3–F5. Troublesome Younger Brother. A funny and sometimes annoying young boy who loves being tortured by his sister. He is lost trying to figure out his place now that she has a new boyfriend and family dynamics are changing. He wants to ensure he won’t lose his sister to her new boyfriend so he takes matters into his own hands. Pugsley is charming and funny, ideally with an unchanged singing voice.
All Vocal Ranges. The chorus/ensemble for The Addams Family is their ancestors, representing generations of the Addams’ past. They are summoned once a year to celebrate with the family. They help tell the story, offer advice, and interact with the characters throughout the play. Performers cast as Ancestors will have input into their characters.
