About the project: The Honey Badger is a tense post-apocalyptic drama about a mother and son struggling to survive in a world stripped of order and morality. When their encounter with a mysterious stranger spirals into violence, the film explores how grief, survival, and fractured values collide, forcing a family to confront their own moral compass in an already broken world. Rate: Non-paid. Additional info: Union and non-union submissions accepted. Filming on location from October 21st - October 23rd (subject to change). (Son) - Co-lead role (can cast older who looks younger). Thin, any race. Peter is a moody and blunt teenager hardened by life after the shift in the world. Though desensitized by hunger and survival in this world, he is a typical teenager, pushing back against his mother’s strict moral code. His defiance escalates into dangerous choices, revealing both his desperation and his loss of innocence.
