Casting Talent for a Short Film "Wookalark"
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Short film production of "Wookalark" is currently in need of actors ages 7-16. Please, see the details below. About the project: Synopsis: A dysfunctional father takes his son and another boy camping, where they encounter a terrifying local legend, a monster called the Wookalark, leading to gruesome deaths and an unexpected new family dynamic. Rate: Non-Union. Volunteer. Additional information: Genre: Dark Comedy, Horror. Dates: September 9th and 10th, 2025. Format: Short Film. Applicants for both roles should be comfortable working in an environment that includes fake blood and prosthetic makeup effects. When applying, please submit a head shot, actor’s height, and full body photo. Submissions will be accepted on an ongoing basis, with positions filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please note you are not booked until you receive an official Confirmation from Production. Sides for self-tapes will be sent to those selected.

Paxton is angelic and innocent. He remains remarkably naive and optimistic. He has a sense of wonder and focuses his attention on catching butterflies.
He's skeptical and more street-smart than his companion Paxton. He's armed with a modified paintball gun and bad attitude, presenting himself as a sort of pint-sized, foul-mouthed Rambo. Ultimately, his bravado and cynicism don't save him from becoming a victim of the Wookalark. Need to be comfortable having fake blood applied to them.
