Casting Teen Performers for "A Monster Calls" Play

Actors who are 12-18 years old are welcome to audition for "A Monster Calls" Play. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Conor has the same dream every night, ever since his mother first fell ill. But tonight is different. Tonight, when he wakes, there’s a monster at his window. It’s elemental, a force of nature, and it wants something from Conor. It wants the truth. Conor is struggling. His mom is very ill – his grandmother bosses him around – his dad has a new family in America – and there are horrible bullies at school. And now, at 12:07, in the middle of the night, a monster comes for him. The monster promises him three stories, and then Conor will tell the fourth – and it will be the truth. A powerful and important story of love, hope, and loss, told with imaginative staging, movement, and plenty of theatre magic. Additional info: Please prepare a one-minute monologue from the play, or from a play in a similar style. First Rehearsal: Wednesday, September 3 from 6-10 pm Rehearsals All actors will be called on Mondays from 6-10 pm. Additional small group rehearsals will be held Wednesdays from 6-10pm and Saturdays 9am-1 pm.
