Casting Call for Kids in Upcoming Short Film
Casting kids for short film – see details below! ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Film premise: A puppeteer on a children's TV show gets into a backstage philosophical argument about self-determination with another puppeteer. When the show starts, the argument continues through their puppet characters. The film would probably be rated PG. Writer/director Stephen Funk is a professional photographer who is taking film classes at Portland Community College. His prior film is a documentary called 'Existential Action Thriller' which has been in multiple film festivals and won the best student film award at the Julienne Dubuque International Film Festival. Rate: Volunteer/no pay. Non-union. No one involved in the production is getting paid. Snacks and treats provided. Kids will receive film credits. Additional info: Film students are making a short comedy about a puppeteer and are seeking kids to play audience members. There will be opportunities to perform reactions to the puppet show as it increasingly goes off the rails. Filming on Sunday 8/17, 1-3 PM If you are interested please apply.
