This role plays the part of Ethan's upbeat, loyal school friend in a meaningful opening scene that helps set the story in motion. Ethan's friend is a cheerful, kind-hearted, and energetic classmate who immediately notices when something is wrong. His genuine concern and positive energy create a strong emotional contrast to the main character's hardship. The actor should be able to portray a natural, warm, and lively demeanor with clear delivery of conversational lines.
