"Mary Shelley" Teen Audition for the Theater
Auditions open for teens for the theater production of "Mary Shelley." See the details below. About the project: Mary Shelley is an extraordinary tale of how she came to write one of the greatest stories ever told, aged just 18. The play explores Shelley's remarkable life: her controversial philosopher father, her scandalous elopement aged 16 and a love story what led her to write a novel, so radical in its ideology, that in 1817 she changed the literary landscape forever. The play will be performed outdoors, dispensed with a realistic setting and instead using movement, lighting, and visuals to create moods and impressions. Additional info: Rehearsals begin August 11th, 6.30 - 9.30pm Performances are Sept 26-Oct 12, Fri, Sat, and Sun at 7 pm Please bring a resume and headshot We will be reading sides from the play. As this show will rely on basic physical theatre techniques, there may be exercises involving light movement and improvisation. Please come in comfortable clothes to move in.
