About the project: A high school girls' basketball team faces personal struggles and societal pressures as they fight for victory both on and off the court. Our mission with "Ball Don’t Lie" is to tell an authentic, empowering story about resilience, identity, and the strength of young women. Having representation of young people overcoming adversity is crucial in building their self-worth and inspiring them to achieve greatness. Rate: On-screen time, IMDb credit, snacks, and good times. (meals/snacks provided) Additional info: Filming a basketball game scene on Sunday, May 4th, and the directors want YOU to be in the crowd — as a fan, student, or gym spectator. No acting experience is needed; just bring good vibes and be ready to cheer! Time Commitment: 6–8 hours (meals/snacks provided) Rehearsals Begin: April 24, 2025 Run/Shoot: May 3, 2025 – May 4, 2025 What to wear: Colors: Teal, White, Black, Gold, or Natural Tones (tan, beige, gray, etc.) Style: Casual, school-spirit, or sports fan attire — nothing flashy. Opposing Basketball Team – Three female actors needed, late teens/early 20’s, previous experience with basketball preferred but not required. PLEASE BE ABLE TO ATTEND REHEARSAL THE EVENING OF APRIL 24th FOR CHOREOGRAPHY! If you are not able to attend rehearsal but are still interested, please reach out and include this detail in your inquiry; exceptions may be made depending on experience. (These are non-speaking roles; they will require mild gameplay and nonverbal acting)
Need as many as possible to fill the stands for the big game! This will be taking place on May 4th from 12:00 – 5:30 pm. Snacks will be provided! Come experience what it’s like to be on set!
