Talents ages 6 and up are welcome to audition for "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat". Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: “Sha la la, Joseph, you’re doing fine! You and your dreamcoat, are ahead of your time!” One of the most enduring shows of all time, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a reimagining of the Biblical story of Joseph, his father Jacob, eleven brothers, and the coat of many colors. Additional info: A mandatory dance call for ages 14+ will take place on Saturday, March 1st, at 6:30 pm. Please dress appropriately for the dance call. No flip-flops or sandals. Please prepare 32 bars (30-60 seconds) of a song that best suits your vocal range. Directors recommend you sing a song from the show, but you are welcome to bring a song in the style of the show. We will provide tracks from the show. If you are singing a song that is not from the show, please provide your own track. A Bluetooth speaker will be provided. No Acapella auditions. Please bring an 8x10 headshot and résumé stapled. If you do not have a headshot, please bring a current photo. Bring a completed audition form. You can find this form in the attachment. Tenor. The eleventh son of Jacob. Obviously his father's favorite, early on shows a talent for interpreting dreams and telling the future. This gets him into trouble with his brothers when he predicts his future will include ruling over the other eleven. It saves his life when in Egypt he correctly interprets Pharaoh's dreams. In the end, he has risen to a great position of power, but he still forgives his brothers and brings his family to Egypt to partake of the bounty he has accumulated.
