Dance Opportunities for Kids in "Cinderella" Show
Students in grades 4th-12th are welcome to audition for the "Cinderella" Show. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: Be prepared to dance and sing. Callbacks will be on Tuesday, March 4th from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm general rehearsal schedule is Saturday, 9 am-3 pm, and Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 3:30 pm-7 pm. Rehearsal schedules are sent out two weeks at a time. Rehearsals on the weekdays in April/May will be for leads and featured dancers. Students in 4th and 5th grade will only be called to rehearsals on Saturdays and three Tuesday rehearsals from 4:30 pm-7 pm (May 6th, May 13 & May 20th) The following rehearsals are MANDATORY for all cast members and cast members should expect to be called for the entire rehearsal. Performances The performance schedule is as follows: Friday, May 23th - 7:30pm Saturday, May 24th - 7:30pm Sunday, May 25th - 2pm & 7:00pm Tuesday, May 27th - 7:30pm Thursday, May 29th - 7:30pm Saturday, May 31st - 2pm Sunday, June 1st - 2pm Please note students are generally called 2 hours prior to the start of the show for warm-ups and to get into costume. A charming young lady with the kindest heart in the kingdom. Sees the good in everyone despite her hardships and suffering from her Stepmother and stepsisters. Dreams of a better life for herself.
A no-nonsense, mysterious, and larger than life character, who helps fulfill Cinderella’s wish to go to the ball and change her destiny.
Cinderella’s Stepmother. A beautiful, vain, and dismissive woman, who is cruel to Cinderella. Mainly concerned with her wealth, and her own offspring's happiness and status.
Cinderella’s awkward stepsister. An obnoxious, self-centered, goofy young woman. Not very bright.
Cinderella’s sullen stepsister. A brash, bratty young woman, who loves attention. Not very bright.
A charming young prince who dreams of marrying for love not duty. Lonely and unfulfilled. Moral, genuine, and in search of something more.
The royal steward. Keeper of the court. Announces all events. Just wants the Prince to do as he’s told. Easily flustered.
The Prince’s mother. Just wants the best for her son. At times serious, but always affectionate.
The Prince’s father. A little bit goofy. Loves his son and wife, and always has the best of intentions.
