Young Talent Wanted for "The Lightning Thief" Musical

Performers in grades 8-12 are invited to audition for "The Lightning Thief" Musical. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: "The Lightning Thief" is a wildly popular musical that was adapted from the best-selling book The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan. Featuring a thrilling original rock score, The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical is an action-packed mythical adventure "worthy of the gods" (Time Out New York). Additional info: Singing: Please have prepared a 32-bar cut (about a minute to a minute and a half) of a musical theater song in the style of the show. Bring your own track or feel free to sing acapella! Dancing: A video of the dance combo is attached, please be familiar with the combo when you come to auditions. Someone will be there to go over the combination before your audition. Reading: You may be asked to read sides from the show in your audition. If you are not asked to read, don't stress out! That just means we've seen all that we need to see from you at that time! Directors are looking for energy and character, feel free to show directors your comedic chops! "The Lighting Thief" is a big rock musical and requires large personalities on stage. Rehearsals will be on Sundays 6:00 - 9:00 pm, Tuesdays 6:30 - 8:30 pm, and Wednesdays 6:30 - 8:30 pm.
