Kid Actors Needed for "Winnie the Pooh" Play

Students in grades K through 5 are welcome to audition for "Winnie the Pooh" Play. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Welcome to the Hundred Acre Wood, where Winnie the Pooh is once again in search of honey. Along the way, he meets his pals, Tigger, Piglet, Rabbit, Owl, Kanga and Roo, but soon discovers that Christopher Robin has been captured by the mysterious Backson! As they prepare for a rescue operation, the animals learn about teamwork, friendship, and, of course... sharing snacks. Additional info: Each actor needs to memorize and perform ONE monologue and ONE song. K-2nd grade students may choose one of the monologues below OR may memorize a poem of their choice. K-2nd grade students may choose to sing (acapella) the first verse of “You Are My Sunshine” (see lyrics attached) OR may choose to sing a one-minute cut of one of the songs attached. Provided songs will be accompanied by a backtrack. 3rd-5th grade students must choose ONE of the provided monologues to perform and a cut of ONE of the provided songs to perform.
