About the project: Plan to audition for the world premiere of The Buttercups Were Lovely That Year, written and directed by local playwright, David Walton. Set in 1968, this gripping drama is the story of Earldean Jarvis who lives in the past, the pleasant past when she was the bell of the ball, the wife of an important county businessman, and the mother of a football star and future doctor. Forgotten, however, are family secrets and more than one person's share of tragedy. One of the things she's chosen to forget is her other son, Tom. He too has a troubled past he wishes to make up for, before it's too late. Additional info: Rehearsals to begin in January 2025. Show dates are February 21-23 and February 28-March 2.
