"Rudolph, The Red-Nosed Reindeer Jr." Needs Kids

Talented young performers in grades 2–12 are welcome to audition for "Rudolph, The Red-Nosed Reindeer Jr.". Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: The holiday classic soars off the screen in this Broadway Junior, 60-minute musical adaptation of the beloved television special. Filled with holiday hits like "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" and "A Holly Jolly Christmas," Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer™ JR. features all of your favorite characters including Santa and Mrs. Claus, Hermey the Elf, Bumble the Abominable Snow Monster, Clarice, Yukon Cornelius and, of course, Rudolph. It’s an adventure that teaches us that what makes you different can be what makes you special. Because of his shiny nose, Rudolph doesn't feel like he belongs in Christmastown and sets off to find a place that accepts him. Along his journey, he encounters fellow misfits, only to realize that home is where he has belonged the whole time. When a storm threatens to keep Santa's sleigh from taking flight, it's up to Rudolph to save Christmas! Additional info: Please arrive 15-20 minutes early to fill out paperwork. Rehearsals will generally be on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays at the Singer Center for the Arts (77 Amherst Street). Performances will be at The Rex Theatre on October 13th and 14th at 7pm. Expect to stay for your entire one-hour audition slot. You will learn a dance and be asked to sing after. Come prepared to sing a short section of a song of your choice (musical theatre, Disney, or a holiday song preferred). You will be singing a cappella (without music) and may be asked to read from the script. Performances are December 15 & 16 at the Rex Theatre. Note that a participation fee will be applied.
