When a classmate’s death and a letter never meant to be seen pull him into a grieving family’s life, Evan is suddenly offered the connection and sense of belonging he has always wanted. But as one misunderstanding grows into a far-reaching story, Evan must confront the consequences of his choices and what it truly means to be seen. Featuring a deeply personal story and a soaring contemporary score, Dear Evan Hansen explores anxiety, grief, family, social media, and the universal need for connection.
