Kids Wanted for "The Santa Switch" Show

About the project: Set in mid-century New York City and the North Pole, The Santa Switch is the magical tale of how Santa and Mrs. Claus try to retire and pass the baton to the new Santa. When the magic sleigh bells choose a young New York ad exec for the iconic position, he declines the offer, putting the North Pole and the fate of Christmas in jeopardy of disappearing forever. The Santa Switch includes the hit Christmas songs "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus," "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree," and "A Holly Jolly Christmas," as well as popular songs including "What A Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong, "Best Day of My Life" by American Authors, and Kelly Clarkson's "Breakaway," among many others Additional info: Children cast in the show will be in the ensemble only. Ensemble roles include many feature opportunities. AUDITION REQUIREMENTS: All auditioners are required to prepare 1.5-2 minutes of a Christmas or Pop song with an accompaniment track. Auditioners should provide a digital accompaniment track at the time of their audition; no accompanist will be available on site. A dance combination may be taught as part of the audition. CALLBACKS: Callbacks will be held if needed, as decided by the production team. REHEARSAL SCHEDULE & LOCATIONS: Only those involved in the content being worked on at a given rehearsal are expected to attend. Not everyone will be called to every rehearsal, and the production team will do their best to work around known conflicts. The Production Team intends to hold rehearsals on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and/or Saturday evenings beginning the week of October 4th. Holidays (Halloween, Thanksgiving) will be accommodated. A read-through is currently scheduled for Oct. 6th. Please be prepared to provide your known conflicts. Rehearsal locations will be in Bel Air or Abingdon, MD. TECH WEEK & SHOW DATES: Tech week is scheduled for December 5-10th, and all cast members are expected to be present for all tech week rehearsals, which will mostly be held in the evenings. Four shows will be performed over one weekend at First Presbyterian Church of Bel Air. Show dates are as follows: December 11th at 7 pm December 12th at noon and 7 pm December 13th at 2 pm If interested, please apply.
