Casting for Holiday Musical, Raising Twelve - Concert Version

Powerstories Theatre is casting children for its December 2026 concert production of Raising Twelve on a Nickel and a Prayer, a true story spanning three Christmas seasons and following Betty and Harold Taylor as they build a family of twelve while facing love, loss, military life, and extraordinary challenges. A concert version is a storytelling-focused production: actors perform the play with scripts in hand rather than memorizing the entire script or working with a fully designed set and traditional staging. Young performers will have opportunities to act, sing, and bring these memorable children to life. Young performers ages 7–17 are invited to audition for several featured roles. Auditions are October 7 and 8, 2026, from 6:30–9 p.m. at Powerstories Studio, 4237 W El Prado Blvd. in Tampa, with callbacks October 9. Rehearsals begin November 9, with performances December 16–20 at Hillsborough College Theatre, Ybor. All actors are paid a small stipend.
