"Nutcracker" Ballet Seeks Child Dancers

Seeking dancers ages 7-12 for "Nutcracker" Ballet. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Additional info: Dancers will rehearse and perform with our professional dancers and artistic staff in the holiday classic, The Nutcracker. This is such a special opportunity for young dancers to gain a professional-level ballet experience—rehearsing for a full-scale production, learning the process of staging a professional ballet, and ultimately performing alongside the professional dancers of Ballet Frontier. Before registering, please make sure your dancer is available for the scheduled rehearsals: September 20 October 4 & October 18 November 1, November 8 & November 29 December 6 Rehearsal times will be determined by the role your dancer is cast in. There is no audition fee, but dancers who are cast will be required to provide certain items, such as specific tights and leotards, depending on their role. Families will also be responsible for purchasing their own tickets to the December 10th performance. For the young ballet dancers, there is truly nothing like experiencing The Nutcracker from inside the production-the costumes, the music, the backstage excitement, and the thrill of sharing the stage with professional dancers. The Nutcracker Performance is on Thursday, December 10th at 7:00 p.m. Requirements: - previous ballet training - solid color leotard - hair in a bun and out of the dancer's face - pink tights and ballet flats If interested, please apply.
