"Nutcracker" Ballet Needs Boys and Girls

Looking for dancers ages 8 and up for "Nutcracker" Ballet. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: DRESS: Please arrive in ballet class attire. Dressing room space is limited. Please note that casting decisions will be emailed on September 21. Rehearsals start the weekend of September 25-27. A mandatory parent meeting will also be held at your child's first rehearsal. The company will double-cast most children’s roles; therefore, most children will perform only once. The directors must have total control over deciding which day your child performs. There will be no substitution of days. Siblings and family members will be cast in the same performance. Please make the directors aware if you have a family member auditioning. ALL REHEARSALS ARE REQUIRED. ONE (1) ABSENCE IS ALLOWED. The Nutcracker typically includes one rehearsal per week (with the exception of female Party Scene children and advanced Act II variations). Rehearsals will be on weekends (with the exception of advanced-level Act II variations). Rehearsals will begin in late September and will continue through the performance date. The week of the performance will require evening rehearsals at the Heymann Center, beginning Monday of production week through Friday. Note that a fee will be applied. If interested, please apply.
