Audition for "A Chorus Line" Play. All roles are open to performers age 16 and older unless otherwise noted. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: A Chorus Line is the landmark Broadway musical that unfolds during a high-stakes audition, where seventeen dancers compete for a few coveted spots. As the director pushes them beyond steps and technique, each performer reveals the personal stories that shaped their lives: childhood struggles, moments of discovery, heartbreak, ambition, and the sacrifices demanded by a career in the arts. Through candid monologues and electrifying musical numbers, the show becomes a raw, intimate portrait of performers fighting not only for a job, but for validation, identity, and the chance to be seen. It is a powerful celebration of resilience, vulnerability, and the passion that drives artists to stand on the line and give everything they have. Additional info: Performance Dates January 15–17 and January 21–24, 2027 Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 8 pm Sundays at 3 pm What to Prepare Please prepare 16 to 32 bars of music, approximately one minute, from a Broadway show, ideally in a style similar to the production. Singing from the show is welcome but not required. An accompanist will be provided, so please have sheet music in the correct key. Please dress comfortably, wear appropriate shoes, and be prepared to DANCE (werk!). You will have an opportunity to change after you sing if you’d like. Readings from the script will be provided. Rehearsal Dates Rehearsals will be held Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings from 6:30–9:30 pm and Sunday afternoons from 1:00–4:00 pm.
