About the project: Set against the bustling backdrop of turn-of-the-century New York City, Hello, Dolly! follows the irrepressible Dolly Gallagher Levi - matchmaker, meddler, and master strategist - as she orchestrates romance and adventure wherever she goes. Through a series of comedic misadventures, unlikely pairings, and heartfelt reunions, the story celebrates the courage to embrace change, the importance of human connection, and the joy of living life to its fullest. Bursting with wit, charm, and iconic musical moments, Hello, Dolly! remains one of musical theater’s most beloved classics. Additional info: You must also come prepared with a scene and song that you choose from the options below. It is highly recommended that you practice and prepare BEFORE your audition! There are also reference tracks below to help you learn the music! At the audition, we will ask you to perform your song and act out your scene with an assigned partner. Then, directors may offer feedback or an idea, and they might have you read again and apply those notes. Please be prepared to make BIG CHOICES at your audition. This is your opportunity to show us what you can do. There are truly NO WRONG answers! WeDirectors can work with and shape BIG CHOICES and BIG MISTAKES, but they can't help you with low effort or little imagination.
