"Footloose” Musical Needs Teens

About the project: When Ren and his mother move from Chicago to a small farming town, he is prepared for the inevitable adjustment period at his new high school. But he’s not prepared for the rigorous local edicts, including a ban on dancing instituted by the local preacher, who is determined to exercise control over the town’s youth. When the reverend’s rebellious daughter sets her sights on Ren, her roughneck boyfriend tries to sabotage Ren’s reputation, with many of the locals eager to believe the worst about the new kid. The heartfelt story that emerges pins a father longing for the son he lost against a young man aching for the father who walked out on him. Rate: Limited actor stipends are available for specific roles; stipends typically range from $100 to $400 total. An allotment of comp tickets is available for family and friends. A limited amount of housing is available on weekends during the performance run, upon request. Housing is not available during rehearsals. Additional info: Performances: September 18 – October 18, 2026 Fridays at 7:30 pm, Saturdays at 2 pm and 7:30 pm, Sundays at 2 pm Rehearsals will begin Monday, August 17, 2026. Typically, rehearsals will be Mondays-Thursdays from 7-10 pm and Saturdays from 9 am-12 pm. Tech Week rehearsals on September 13-17, 2026, will be Sunday-Thursday and will begin at 6 pm. There will be a Q2Q rehearsal on Sunday, September 13, 2026. If interested, please submit a single video file of you singing 32 bars from a song in the style of the show with track or accompaniment. You will need to upload a headshot and an acting resume in addition to your video file.
