Teen Actors Needed for "Maricela De La Luz Lights The World"

Seeking performers ages 16 and up for "Maricela De La Luz Lights The World" Play. Please see the details below. About the project: Maricela and her younger sibling are out Christmas shopping when the weather takes an odd turn, and all the people in the city disappear. Through a series of encounters with a moon god, a cyclops, Hercules, and a seven-headed hydra, among other fantastic and mythical characters, they learn the importance of standing up for good and being the hero of your own story. Rate: This production will not include stipends for actors. Additional info: All actors must be comfortable with physicality and limited stage combat, and be able to lift up to 25 lbs. Auditions for this production will consist of cold readings from the script. Directors ask that participants arrive 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork and introduce themselves to the stage managers. If you have a headshot and resume, please bring them (not required). There are no audition appointments, and actors are not required to prepare a monologue. The evening will cover the auditions for both shows, beginning with the Young Audiences Production. During each show’s audition, all actors will have an opportunity to demonstrate their skills in a group setting, with the director selecting sides and combinations of participants to read together or independently. Please be prepared to move and make bold choices! First Rehearsal: Sunday, August 9th, 2026 Rehearsal Schedule: Sunday and Tuesday evenings, beginning at 7 pm.
