Female presenting. The relentlessly competitive, self-proclaimed leader of the choir. She is an overachiever who masks her deep-seated insecurities with virtuous, bossy perfectionism. High Broadway mix, with a pop quality; big range.
Male presenting. The only gay kid in Uranium City. Despite his quiet exterior, he is secretly obsessed with French New Wave cinema and fantasizes about dying a tragic, romantic death. Must be able to sing in the style of a French chanteuse.
Male presenting. A tough, angry teenager adopted from the Ukraine. He often uses his rough exterior to hide a vulnerable, romantic side. Baritenor with the ability to sing lyrical Ukrainian folk music as well as rap.
Male presenting. Described as "the most imaginative boy in town" who gains the ability to speak in the afterlife, Ricky has created his own universe, where he is the hero of the planet Zolar. Baritone rock voice, very a-la David Bowie.
Female presenting. Known as the "nicest girl in school." She is an outcast who acts as the group's conscience but privately struggles with being overlooked and unappreciated. Very likeable comic actress; alto belt with a rock edge.
