About the project: A dark, psychological, coming-of-age drama that disguises itself in the tone of a rom-com. Oscar (17) and Tom (18) have been best friends for 6 years. Oscar’s crush recently distanced herself from Oscar, and he is feeling down about it. That’s when he meets Jane (17), for whom Oscar quickly becomes obsessed. The two become a pair, and Tom watches his friend change into something unfamiliar. When two disordered cogwheels join and turn, what results isn’t a functioning machine, but a grinder that minces everything it touches.
