Casting Boy Actors for Short Horror Film "The Book"

Seeking 11-15-year-old boys for the Short Horror Film "The Book". Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Rate: This is a non-paid project, but actors will receive screen credit, footage for reels, and the chance to participate in a community-based youth film project with festival showcase plans. Additional info: This is a nonprofit youth-centered film program that creates shorts and PSA-style projects about issues young people deal with, using storytelling, genre, and student participation to spark conversation. This production will be showcased in a special screening block next April. Select scenes will be directed and filmed by teen filmmakers, working alongside a supervised adult crew. This is a great opportunity for actors who want to support youth filmmaking, nonprofit storytelling, and local film production. Bonus availability: Actors who are available Monday, July 13, from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM will be especially helpful for the teen-directed scenes. Filming location: Jonesboro Public Library. Selected actors will be contacted with audition details. Auditions are expected to take place in Jonesboro. Additional filming dates are TBD (in July) and will be scheduled based on actor and location availability. Actors under 18 must have parent/guardian permission to audition and participate. This is a non-union volunteer production. The film contains spooky/dark fantasy elements and mild horror tension, but is intended for a youth/community audience.
