"Alice By Heart" Show Needs Kids

Seeking kids ages 6-12 for "Alice By Heart" Show. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: From the Tony and Grammy award-winning creators of Spring Awakening, Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik, and co-written by Jessie Nelson (Waitress), Alice by Heart is a touching musical inspired by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. In the rubble of the London Blitz of World War II, Alice Spencer’s budding teen life is turned upside down, and she and her dear friend Alfred are forced to take shelter in an underground tube station. When the ailing Alfred is quarantined, Alice encourages him to escape with her into their cherished book and journey down the rabbit hole to Wonderland. As they travel through the tale, Alice by Heart explores the poignancy of first love, coming to terms with loss, and finding the courage to move forward. This touching story encourages us all to celebrate the transformational power of the imagination, even in the harshest of times. Additional info: The first round of auditions will be by video submission only. Callbacks, if necessary, will be by invitation only on SUNDAY, JUNE 28th, from 7 PM-10 PM. Callbacks will include a dance call, songs, and sides from the show. If you are unable to make callbacks, please let us know below. Your video submission should include two contrasting songs in the style of the show, 16 bars (or 30-45 seconds) each. Please have your audition video in the form of an unlisted YouTube link (or similar application). REHEARSALS will typically be held on Wednesday and Thursday from 7 pm-10 pm, and Sunday from 6 pm-10 pm, starting on July 1st. Tech week will begin on September 13th. A full rehearsal schedule will be created after casting is complete and conflicts are considered. We work hard to be efficient with actors’ time and conflicts. PERFORMANCE DATES are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 3 PM, Opening on SEPTEMBER 18th and Closing on SEPTEMBER 27th. If interested, please apply.
