About the project: Based on the beloved comic strip by Harold Gray, Annie has become one of the most cherished musicals of all time. Winner of seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical, this heartwarming classic features a memorable score by Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin and a book by Thomas Meehan, including iconic songs such as “Tomorrow,” “Maybe,” and “It’s the Hard Knock Life.” Set in 1930s New York City, Annie tells the inspiring story of a spirited young orphan determined to find the parents who left her behind years earlier. Living under the watchful eye of the harsh and bitter Miss Hannigan at the New York City Orphanage, Annie dreams of a brighter tomorrow and refuses to give up hope. Additional info: Auditions will consist of singing, movement, and cold reads from the script. Prospective cast members will be asked to prepare specific vocal selections for each character.
