About the project: In the heart of Mississippi, a late-night juke joint becomes more than a place for drinks and blues music. It becomes a sanctuary for broken men carrying silent battles. Midnight Blues follows Jamal, a weary bartender struggling to provide for his sick son while battling guilt, poverty, and the pressure of manhood. As financial burdens mount and desperation grows, Jamal is drawn into the dangerous world of a mysterious man known only as “The Guy,” whose promises of quick money come with deadly consequences. Surrounded by men fighting their own demons: Marcus, a husband drowning in insecurity and betrayal; Andre, a man desperately searching for purpose and work; and Eli, a soulful musician haunted by family trauma. The series explores brotherhood, masculinity, mental health, love, survival, and redemption beneath the glow of blue neon lights and Mississippi moonlight.
