Audition for "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" Play. Roles available for actors ages 8–18. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: This stage version of C.S. Lewis’ beloved story recreates the magic and mystery of Aslan, the great lion, his struggle with the White Witch, and the adventures of four children who wander through an old wardrobe into the unforgettable land of Narnia. The play is filled with action, including chases, duels, and daring escapes, as the White Witch fights to maintain her hold on Narnia and prevent the return of Aslan. The world of Narnia is populated by a rich array of characters, including Mr. Tumnus, Mr. and Mrs. Beaver, Father Christmas, and a host of magical creatures. At its heart, the story explores courage, sacrifice, and the triumph of good over evil. Additional info: Auditions are by appointment only • Six auditionees per slot; maximum of 42 auditionees • Multiple roles available, including ensemble and featured roles Audition Requirements Prepare a short, one-minute monologue from a published play or novel – but NOT from “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe” or one featuring characters from the story. • The play’s genre is fantasy/drama; select material that reflects a similar tone and style • Choose a monologue with strong emotional range and clear storytelling • No songs or poems • Monologues from film or television are discouraged • Memorization is REQUIRED Orientation & First Rehearsal: Sunday, June 21 at 5:30 PM (Orientation), with rehearsal to follow at 6:00 PM. Orientation is required for all first-time participants. Rehearsals: Rehearsals continue through Thursday, August 6, 2026. Rehearsals are held Sunday through Thursday evenings. Weekday rehearsals typically run 7:00–9:00 PM • As the production approaches opening, rehearsals will shift earlier to 6:00–9:00 PM • Sunday rehearsals are held at 6:00 PM, or 5:00 PM closer to opening A detailed rehearsal schedule will be provided at auditions. Conflicts must be listed at that time. Mandatory Tech Rehearsals: July 30, August 2, August 3, August 5, and August 6 6:00–9:00 PM each evening Attendance at all technical rehearsals is required.
