"In The Tent of Stars"
Two boys discover magic, mystery, and belonging inside a traveling vaudeville tent that seems to straddle time. We are holding a two-week workshop (Aug 3-14) of a new musical in Kansas City with Miss Hazel Jade, a respected Broadway and West End dramaturge, and former investor with connections to Beetlejuice, Frozen, SpongeBob SquarePants, Once on This Island, Waitress, Ain't Too Proud, and others, as our director. We will conclude with a costumed, on-book reading at Music Theater Heritage's Ruby Room at Crown Center on Saturday night, August 15th. It will be professionally filmed for an industry-facing sizzle reel to be presented to Broadway and West End producers. Performers are responsible for their own travel, lodging, and living expenses. The $1,500 remuneration is intended, in part, to help offset those costs.
