This story follows a tormented loner with an unknown past who seeks solace in an unlikely connection with his therapist until darkness and obsession unravel the fragile line between patient and captor, revealing the haunted child hidden within the monster. Small, skinny, with long dark hair, timid, and clearly underfed for his age. He appears in flashbacks as our protagonist's child self, enduring a childhood with an abusive mother.
