About the Play: "Beyond Tears" draws from a Nigerian socio-cultural backdrop. It is a powerful stage drama exploring love, loss, and the hidden wounds families carry. The play is intimate, dialogue-driven, and demands strong character work, emotional authenticity, and physical presence from both performers. As painful truths surface, characters confront betrayal, forgiveness, and the courage it takes to heal and rebuild what once seemed broken. Rate: Remuneration will be discussed and aligned with Fringe and independent theatre guidelines. Additional information: Workshop: A paid weekend workshop in May 2026 (exact dates to be agreed upon by selected actors and the director). Seeking talented female actor for "Beyond Tears", a powerful two-hander set in a classroom and rooted in a Nigerian context. This emotionally driven piece explores themes of identity, vulnerability, Religion and resilience. The production is scheduled to perform at the Tampa International Fringe Festival from June 10–20, 2026, and at the Hamilton Fringe Festival from July 15–26, 2027. Performance Commitments: Rehearsals (June 5–10, 2026). Tampa Fringe (June 10–20, 2026) – Flights and accommodation covered. Hamilton Fringe (July 15–26, 2027) – Transportation covered. Actors must hold a valid Canadian passport or be able to obtain one before June 1, 2026. Availability for rehearsal period and both festival runs.
