Seeking a Middle Eastern or Indian boy between the ages of 6 and 12 for the role of Mehdi in a Columbia University short film. Logline: After his absent-minded father forgets to pick him up on a Sunday, a young boy spends the day in his father's struggling shoe repair shop, where an unexpected package from home quietly reconnects three generations. Character Description: MEHDI, 6–12. Curious, talkative, and eager to help, Mehdi turns an ordinary day in his father's shoe repair shop into something unexpectedly warm and tender.
