About the project: Genre: Drama, Coming of Age Logline: After a violent altercation leaves her suspended from school, anger-prone Demi becomes obsessed with obtaining her Tribal ID to prove that she belongs somewhere. But as her need to protect others pushes them farther away, she must confront the realization that identity is not something you can find on a piece of paper. Rate: Unpaid. Footage provided, final copy of film provided, meals provided. Non-Union. Additional info: In-person callback date, early-mid February. Shooting Schedule: Shoots 6-7 days, March 8-14. Planned rehearsal dates in late February and early March. Filming Location: Sedalia, Denver, Aurora Project Description: We will be shooting on a ranch around real animals (specifically horses and cows), please be aware for any possible allergies. Lead. A high schooler with anger issues, a lack of friends, but a fierce loyalty to protect those around her. None of her emotions come with a middle ground: when she’s sad, she’s inconsolable, when she’s angry, she’s furious. Ends up pushing people away due to this nature. Begins an obsessive attempt to obtain her Tribal ID in hopes that it will make her feel like she belongs somewhere.
Supporting. Demi’s Older Sister. Loves and cares for Demi, but secretly holds some resentment towards the problem child that is her sister. She is moving across the country for college, and is worried how Demi will do without her there.
Supporting. An attractive, native farm hand, and childhood best friend of Demi. He admires her protective nature, and has always had a crush on her .. though Demi has always been too oblivious to notice.
