About the project: During a winter storm in the mountains, two families arrive at the same remote cabin-both holding legitimate reservations, both suddenly stranded by weather, distance, and circumstance. With no immediate solution and children to protect, Atlas and Andy make the only reasonable choice: share the space for the night. What begins as an uncomfortable logistical problem slowly becomes something gentler. Over soup, card games, quiet hallway conversations, and the steady crackle of a fire, walls soften. Children form unexpected alliances. Adults rediscover ease, humor, and the fragile possibility of connection after loss. A Winter Shared is a tender, one-night story about grief, boundaries, chosen family, and the strange intimacy that can grow when people are forced to slow down and sit with one another.
