Short Film "A Christmas" Needs Young Girls
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Casting two girls ages 5-10 for a short film "A Christmas". Please, see the details below. About the project: Story: A drama. Having never been visited by Santa, a naive Korean-Canadian 6 year old hopes this will be her lucky year. Rate: Union (TBC). Honorarium (ULTRA Low-Budget). Additional information: Shoot /Performance Date(s) 3 days in the last 2 weeks of March. Shoot/Performance Location(s) Vancouver and environs. Submission Deadline January 31, 2026. Please note: the actors must be okay with knowing Santa is not real. Actors don't have to be the age of the characters, but can play that age range. When applying, please submit a head shot/recent picture and a 30-60 second clip of the actor introducing themselves and telling directors their favorite thing about Christmas. Directors encourage non-actors and actual siblings to apply. As long as the actor can be seen and heard, filming on a phone or other device works great. Those selected will be called in for an audition and sent 1-2 pages of dialogue from the script to work on with them.
