Auditions will consist of singing as well as readings of sides (see the attachment for more information). The audition spots have all been filled, but if you are a singer interested in auditioning for "1776", directors will also be considering video submissions for this timely and historically significant show. Message runner between General Washington’s army and the Continental Congress; vocal range C3-Db4; sings “Mamma Look Sharp”. High Baritone or low tenor. Has a bit of dialogue, sings one solo song. Known for his clomping entrances several times during the show to deliver letters from General George Washington. His song is a dramatic high point.
Assistant to Andrew McNair; custodian; wears a leather apron. Tenor or high baritone. Young apprentice in training to learn MacNair’s custodial trade. Sings harmony on “Momma Look Sharp.” Vocal range Bb2-Db3 “Momma, Look Sharp” (harmonies)
