Casting Kids and Teens for "Why This Night" Play. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Why This Night is a sweeping, emotionally charged musical that weaves together three timelines—an ancient Hebrew family in Egypt on the evening of the first Passover, Jesus and His disciples at the Last Supper, and a modern-day pastor navigating grief as he prepares a Good Friday service. Additionla info: Vocal Audition: Please come prepared to sing a song of your choosing that showcases your vocal ability and range. Your piece should be between 1 and 2 minutes long. Encourage you to choose a song from Why This Night if you're familiar with the material, but any song that highlights your strengths is welcome. Acting Audition: You do not need to prepare a monologue. We will provide script sides (excerpts) at the audition. These will be read with a partner or a reader. WHAT TO BRING A bottle of water Comfortable clothes you can move in A positive and collaborative spirit Sheet music or a track if you are using accompaniment (optional) NOTES This is a volunteer production.
