Seeking Talents for "What the Light Touches" Short
This short will be 2-3 minutes. This series explores how a specific moments in our lives shape who we become. This specific perspective follows three young siblings exploring their dynamics with each other as they play with a carpet they come across. This is an unpaid, experience-only opportunity. The time commitment is light (4 hours). The shoot date is Sunday, August 17. As it is limited dialogue, we're asking for a video submission where the actor introduces himself, and then tells us about her favorite thing they've done this summer, their favorite book, or their favorite movie.

Daniel is a smart kid who masks his insecurities behind bossy commands and forced toughness. His fear of rejection manifests into a need for control, which seeps into his friendship with Sam. Underneath all the bravado is a scared boy desperate to matter and even more desperate not to be left behind.
Sam is calm and quietly confident. He gives others room, listens more than he speaks, and doesn’t rattle easily. Where Daniel grasps for control, Sam trusts the moment; where Daniel fears being left, Sam believes relationships can bend without breaking. His calm presence and grounded sense of self make him a natural anchor which in turn intensifies Daniel's need for control.
