Young Performers Needed for "Hairspray" Show

Looking for youth performers to join the “Hairspray” show — more details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: You can't stop the beat of one girl's inspiring dream to share her big and bold dance moves. Against the background of the civil rights movement, Hairspray chronicles the high drama, high energy and high hair of a local tv dance show in 1962 Baltimore. Additional info: Please note: there is a production fee applied. Callbacks will be held Saturday, January 3 & Sunday, January 4 Performances: July 24-26, 2026 Auditionees should prepare 16-32 bars of a musical theater song and bring sheet music in the correct key. The acting portion of the audition will consist of cold readings from the script. There will be no dance/movement to the audition. If you are interested please apply.
