"Around the Snake Turn" Show Seeking Teen Actors in DC
Audition notice: Teen actors wanted for “Around the Snake Turn.” Details below. ONLY MD, AND LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Around the Snake Turn is a drama that takes place in several locations in a tribal area of West Africa. Kwame and Baaba, have barely finished celebrating their son Yoofi’s scholarship when he is accused of a crime. Once the accusation is made to the local priest — the village leader and arbiter of justice — nothing can prevent him from placing a curse on the extended family. The belief is that the curse will bring continual tragedy to the offender’s family until they atone by offering a young virgin girl to serve as a “wife to the gods.” Realizing her 11-year-old daughter, Aku, is at risk to be named to serve, Baaba challenges the accusation and searches for a way around the curse.
