About the project: It is a Disney film which has become a Tony-award winning Broadway show, which features a score by Alan Menken and Jack Feldman and a book by Harvey Fierstein. Both the movie and the musical are currently on Disney +. It is set in turn-of-the century New York City, it tells of a David versus Goliath story, with Jack Kelly, who is a leader of a band of newspaper boys, who decides to strike against unfair working conditions against the titans of publishing, and fight for what is right. Additional info: Shows and auditions will take place at the Landes Art Center in the Harr Theatre in Petersburg, West Virginia. Show dates are: March 6, 2026 at 7:00 PM March 7, 2026 at 7:00 PM March 8, 2026 at 2:00 PM March 13, 2026 at 7:00 PM March 14, 2026 at 7:00 PM March 15, 2026 at 2:00 PM Callback date is January 4, 2026 at 2:00 PM. For auditions, please come to the back door of the theater. Please have a song that your are able to perform, and wear comfortable clothing in order to dance and move.
