"Purple Ink" Film Searching For Teen Boy
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. The company is seeking teen boy for "Purple Ink" film. See the details below. About the project: The film tells the story of Chase, a teenager with undiagnosed juvenile arthritis, who makes an unlikely friendship with Daren, an old man, during his time at physical therapy. It is a hopeful story that explores friendship, the acceptance of one's body, and aims to shed light on the disabled youth community, especially those with invisible disabilities that may go undiagnosed or untreated for many years. I grew up with the disease, which greatly limited my mobility and quality of life. Over 300k kids in the US today have a rheumatoid disability, with a large number of them going undiagnosed and untreated. I hope that this film will help destigmatize and bring awareness to what youth disabilities can look like. 1 role
Deeply introspective, Chase has juvenile arthritis and struggles with walking and pain in his lower body. He thinks this holds him back, but in reality, it makes him uncommonly observant and wise for his age. He's smart as a whip and a big classic rock fan, which helps him bond with Daren, his elderly counterpart, who helps him to accept his body for what it is and learn to love himself.
