Theater of Vampires: Children of the Shadows
The Shadows is a kid-friendly vampire short film and theatrical series under Theater of Vampire Tales. Inspired by classic gothic storytelling (e.g., Interview w/ a Vampire, Children of the Corn), the story follows children who begin as victims and are later welcomed into a mysterious vampire “family.” Led by Carmilla, a nurturing, pastoral vampire, the children find themselves attracted to the supernatural eerie vampire world. Scene include children reacting with fear and dark humor, playful vampire transformations, and becoming action-style vampire kids with fangs. All scenes are taught, guided, and rehearsed on set, creating a fun, safe, and engaging experience. Casting Needs: Boys & girls ages 4–14 Must be able to act scared, curious, and playful Comfortable performing with other children and adults Theater + short-film style scenes Season 1 filming & performances: January–April 2026 (if selected) Parent/guardian presence required.

Eli A quiet, wide-eyed child who startles easily. Reacts with fear and curiosity before being gently “claimed” by the vampire world. After transformation, becomes playful and brave.
Protective and expressive. Initially resists the vampires but is drawn in by the promise of belonging. Transforms into a confident action-style vampire kid.
The natural leader among the boys. Skeptical at first, then intrigued. After transformation, helps guide younger vampire children.
Sweet and imaginative. Easily mesmerized by the vampires. Her transformation is joyful and playful, leaning into dark humor and wonder.
Bold and curious. Questions what’s happening but ultimately chooses to join. Becomes energetic and mischievous after transformation.
Calm, observant, and mature. Acts as an older-sister figure. After transformation, she becomes a confident vampire youth with presence and control.
Children portray victims drawn into the vampire world, reacting with curiosity, surprise, and playful fear in group movement scenes. Child actor(s) appear briefly in symbolic “feeding” scenes. Background roles include being guided, carried, or gently led in vampire family scenes with natural reactions. Older kids join choreographed ensemble moments, playful stalking, and transformation reactions. Teens serve as calm vampire youth guardians, helping guide younger children in group scenes.
